Millennials runners reported learning about events most through social media (64%) and Internet search (57%).
Of the Millennial runners who use social media to learn about events, 94 percent do so via Facebook – while less than half learn about events via Instagram (39%) and less than a third do via Twitter (29%). In addition, Millennial runners learn about running events via Internet search – think Google or Bing – which means an event must be able to be found online for runners to come across it in a search.
